Our Mercury was a Canadian indie rock band. Its members were singer/guitarist Ben Stevenson, drummer John Watson, bassist Daniel Laxer (replaced in '06 by Joseph Lubinski-Mast), and keyboardist Eric Budd.〔 ==History== Members Ben Stevenson, John Watson, and Daniel Laxer first played together in a punk band called Misdemeanor.〔 They attracted enough attention, from playing shows around town, to be offered tours with Guttermouth, Jughead's Revenge, Straightfaced, Good Riddance, and 88 Fingers Louie. This increased Canadian exposure introduced them to Cecil English (SNFU, d.b.s., The Smalls) who produced their first independently released album by the time they were 15 years old.〔 Changing their name to Our Mercury, they released their album ''Your Medicine'' on Edmonton's Farway Records in 2002.〔 For their second recording, Our Mercury signed to Smallman Records〔 who released ''From Below'' in 2005.〔 The addition of Eric Budd, formerly of The Operators brought renewed energy to the albums and live shows. Their signature 70’s tinged punk now had elements of Motown and danceable pop. ''From Below'' achieved local commercial radio success through its heavy rotation on Sonic 102.9, and received reviews both locally and nationally. Laxer departed in August 2006 and was replaced by Joseph Lubinski-Mast. The band officially played their last show August 18, 2007. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Our Mercury」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
